Brief
Swift required an experienced AV & IT solution provider to manage technical equipment and telecommunications for the Sibos Conference and International Exhibitor Stand requirements.
Responsibilities
Microhire was responsible for the following, Telecommunications design and equipment infrastructure encompassing 2000 open internet connections along with 400 Local Area Networks and 250 wireless hotspots on all 6 levels of the Hong Kong Convention Centre. Installation and management of a telephone PABX system for International Calls & Faxes throughout the centre. Technical management of Teleconference and Conference facilities for clients such as Swift & JP Morgan. Installation of 270 custom international exhibition stands with LCD HD monitors, Sound Systems, Networked Internet Systems and LED Lighting.
Challenges
Supplying a large number of international clients at one time with 12 x 40” containers of technical equipment. Design and management of SWIFTS Vlan network to seamlessly integrate within the existing centre’s infrastructure. Dealing with international exhibitors regarding specific requirements, languages and time zones.
Results
The conference was a complete success for Swift and Microhire. All requirements were met on schedule with an experienced 75 strong technical crew from Australia and Hong Kong.
