How Video Walls Tell an Event’s Story

We have worked with big ticket events, such as the 2015 Security Exhibition & Conference in Melbourne, to create unique solutions with Video Walls that share stories with the event’s audience.

Telling the Security Expo story
The Security Exhibition is the leading security industry and trade event in Melbourne. With 140 companies exhibiting over 240 brands, the event showcases innovations in the security industry to over 5000 attendees.
The show’s organiser, Diversified Communications, approached Microhire with a desire to celebrate and showcase the Exhibitions’s 30th anniversary. Working with the organiser, a unique solution was devised to display the vast collection of historical memorabilia of the show’s past 30 years.
A customised Video Wall consisting of 12 panels was developed to present Security’s rich history. This Video Wall allowed the playback of all the historical content in a compelling and engaging way, and was set in a feature area of the exhibition, dubbed the ‘Commemorative Corner’. At this meeting space, attendees soaked up the atmosphere of the event and engaged with the brand’s identity.
Engaging with the Security Expo audience using a Video Wall
The Video Wall was split into three zones, each containing four panels and representing ten years of the show’s history. The panels within each zone displayed the presentation content staggered at 45-second intervals. The result was that the entire history of the Exhibition could be viewed across the whole wall in one minute, as a flowing representation of history.
A separate, thirteenth LCD screen was positioned above the central cluster of LCD’s. This monitor displayed unique video content that documented the 30-year journey of security product development.
The overall effect of the Video Wall was a notable success. This application is a great example of the power of modern communication and storytelling, and at Microhire, we are at the forefront of these developments.
